Check Valves

Check Valves are non return valves that are available in various types of mounting. Tucson produces a variety of check and pilot check valves for line mountings, screw in cartridges, sub-plate mountings etc. Sub-plate mounted valves are available in commonly found interfaces of American and European standards. They are also available as sandwich construction in CETOP3 and CETOP5 sizes. These valves are zero leak and the load can be held in place for hours without losing its position. The valves are manufactured in Aluminium as well as Cast Iron bodies.

Check Cartridge

Line Mounted Check Valve

Cartridge check valves allow unidirectional flow at a low pressure. Various sizes of check cartridge are available with nominal flow ratings up to 200 litres/ minute. They fit into simply machined cavities and are therefore ideal for installation into custom designed manifolds.   Line Mounted check valves allow unidirectional flow at a low pressure drop, with cracking pressure of 1 or 5 bar in the free flow. Various port sizes are available with flow rating up to 200 lpm. These valves are available ready-to-install in pipelines.

    Subplate Mounted Check Valve

    Pilot Check Cartridge

Subplate Mounted check valves allow unidirectional flow at a low pressure drop, with cracking pressure of 1 or 5 bar in the free flow. Various subplate sizes are available with flow rating up to 150 lpm. These valves are available ready-to-install in pipelines.   Pilot check valves allow flow to pass in one direction, with a low pressure drop, and prevent reverse flow until pilot pressure is applied. There are many applications for this valve type, the most common being to lock and hold an actuator.

    Line Mounted Pilot Check Valve

    Subplate Mounted Pilot Check Valve

The Direct Relief Valve is ideally suited for use as a pilot valve or a thermal relief and it’s an economical solution for small flow systems where a fast response is required. Pressure on the nose of the cartridge acts over the seat area moving the poppet against the spring, this allows relief flow to vent into the tank.   Sequence valves provide ordered sequencing of two or more operations as with clamp and drill circuits. They can also be used as relief valves where the downstream pressure is high or changes during operation. By taking the drain line directly to tank, back pressure effects are negated.

    Dual Pilot Check Valve

    Hose Burst Valve

Dual Pilot Check valves work in tandem providing pilot pressure for each other and locking pressure when required. They are most often used as load holding valves where the actuator is to be held in place against load until it is retracted.   Hose Burst Valves or Velocity Fuses are used to prevent the uncontrolled descent of a load in the event of a hose failure. They should be screwed directly into the lifting device (normally a cylinder), or into an in-line manifold that should be mounted as close as possible to the lifting device.
