Flow Control Valves include Shut Off valves, Ball Valves, Needle valves, Throttle Check valves and Pressure Compensated Flow Control valves. These are available in line mounted (with BSP threads), sub-plate mounted or cartridge constructions (Metric and SAE cavities). We offer infinite metering for our Needle Valves. Flow Control Cartridges are extremely versatile and can be used in a multitude of small as well as large integrated circuits.
Line Mounted Shut Off Valve
Line Mounted Throttle Valve
Shut off valves can be rapidly opened and closed to cut off flow when not required. Spindles have a coarse thread and a larger included cone angle. This gives a quick opening even at a higher pressure without much throttling. The conical wide angled seat is toughened to improve the durability, the overall life of the valve and to consistently provide a perfect Zero-Leak seal every time.
Throttle valves can be used where volume flows need to be infinitely controlled in both directions without taking pressure fluctuations into account. A fine thread on the spindle and a more acute included cone angle gradually reveals an annular gap as the knob is screwed out. The adjusted throttle cross section produces a pressure drop which determines the volume flow.

Line Mounted Throttle Check Valve
Throttle Cartridge
Throttle Check valves allow free flow in one direction and a metered flow in the opposite direction. . A fine thread on the spindle and a more acute included cone angle allows a better control of the flow, even at high pressure. The adjusted throttle cross section produces a pressure drop which determines the volume flow.
The cartridge restrictor valve range can be set and locked to restrict flow in one direction. A typical use is the speed control of cylinder or other actuators. The free flow check allows for meter-in or meter-out actuator control. Rotation of the adjustment screw varies the valve opening to give a flow path approximately proportional to the turns of the screw in one direction.
