Motion Control Valves are used to prevent run away conditions in cylinder and motors. They are used as load holding and load safety valves, specifically in cylinders. Typical uses being pick and carry cranes or boom cranes and man lifts. These are zero leak valves and the load remains in the position for a substantially long time. Many of the motion control valves have an in-built relief valves which also relieve thermal shocks due the temperature changes.

Dual Overcentre Valve |
Overcentre valves give static and dynamic control of loads by regulating the flow out of hydraulic actuators. They are basically pilot assisted relief valves with a reverse free flow check. When installed close to or within an actuator, the Overcentre valve will stop runaway in the event of a hose burst and provide thermal relief of the hydraulic fluid. The cartridge is ideal for mounting directly into a cavity machined in the body of the actuator. The cartridge can also be mounted as a valve or into a Hydraulic Integrated Circuit. Single Overcentre valves are normally used when the load is unidirectional, for example a crane or scissor lift.

Dual Overcentre valves are used for controlling loads in both directional for motor applications or for cylinders going over centre. |
